Designing Our Future is a dynamic business event showcasing British innovations and thought leadership in technology and policy. The three-day event, held in New York City from April 2-4, convened more than 100 thought leaders, influencers, entrepreneurs and decision-makers across key industries ranging from technology and mobility to sustainability in the fashion industry. They shared their knowledge and experience with over 700 invited guests.
The agenda included the challenges facing contemporary economies and explored innovations and ideas that will Design Our Future.
Engagement
Concise recommended our cloud-hosted Chime event app for attendees to access via their mobile devices. Attendees had the choice to download Chime from the App Store onto their mobile phones or use our web app by clicking the event's Chime url. The Concise team was on site to run a support desk and ensure everyone was able to log in.
Throughout the event, attendees made good use of Chime’s Ask a Question feature. Over the course of two days, 221 attendees logged in and asked 223 questions to speakers and panelists on the stage. Attendees were able to learn more about speakers, partners, and exhibitors through Chime's Speakers, Partners, and Showcase pages. Further reading and collateral materials were housed in the resource gallery and emailed by DIT to the attendees following the event.

DIT was delighted with the flexibility of the Chime App which allowed them to make quick on-site changes with details literally ‘in hand'. In addition, Chime's Polling, Feedback and Q&A delivered the attendee engagement and interactivity DIT desired.And having the Concise team on hand to help attendees maximise app interactivity was an added bonus.

Event and sponsor information was always conveniently on hand via attendees' mobile devices. Feedback forms allowed attendees to rate presenters and content helping DIT's future planning.

Chime's Moderator Screen allowed the DIT team to select and push live questions to the main screen and Speaker's onstage iPad.

Features
- Pre-event app access allowed early interaction and the ability for Attendees to post questions.
- The Agenda allowed click through to fuller Biographies of the speakers.
- Ask a Question and Polling features enabled live Q&A and feedback at each session.
- Our handy note-taking tool allowed Notes to be sent to individuals post event.
- Event surveys were used to collect Feedback at the end of each session.
- Professional photographs were showcased in the app's photo Gallery.
